About the Project
The Bird House is a personal exploration into fantasy environment design. This project was a highly educational and enjoyable experience, based on the amazing 2D concept art created by artist Thibaud Pourplanche. The goal was to faithfully translate the whimsical charm of the original artwork into a fully realized 3D environment.
Challenge
Maintaining the whimsical, hand-crafted feel of the 2D concept while creating a believable 3D structure with proper geometry and materials.
Solution
Started with extensive study of the original artwork, breaking down shapes and proportions. Built the model in stages, constantly referencing the concept to ensure the spirit of the design was maintained.
Outcome
Successfully translated the 2D concept into 3D while preserving its magical charm. The project was featured on Blender Artists community and received positive recognition.
